On the outskirts of Cupar, this magnificent mansion has been decaying for decades. It's best seen in the winter before the nettles and tree leaves hide it.
There's a lovely story about Lady Crawford, the last occupant, who apparently lived alone with a menagerie of animals. This included a deer that followed her around like a pet dog. Her tomb is up on the hillside about a mile away, where she wanted to remain and still see her home.
